The Rotary Club of Winchester's 39th Apple Harvest Arts and Crafts Festival will be held September 21st & 22nd, 2013 at Jim Barnett Park in Winchester, VA over a beautiful autumn weekend. The event will have an estimated 6,000 people in attendance, enjoying the works of nearly 100 crafters.
Items for sale are expected to include fine pencil drawings, hand spun Alpaca wool, hand-made jewelry and hand-blown glass, just to list a few.
The Kids Zone will be a busy place with members from the John Handley High School Interact Club manning the inflatables for children to play on. There were two special displays, the Apple Theme Booth, where dozens of varieties of locally grown apples are on display, as well as, samples to taste and an Apple Pie eating contest. There will also be the Everything Virginia Booth, in which all the crafts for sale were made in Virginia.
Most importantly, this long-established annual event is expected to raise almost $20,000 again this year, to be distributed to local charities. We look forward to seeing you September 21st & 22nd, 2013!
